Terms of use for the questionnaires of the ARISTON psychometric series

Use of the ARISTON psychometric series software means that the person using it, or that person's parent or legal guardian (each referred to below as "the user"), accepts without reservation all of the terms of use set out below, which apply to every personality, ability and skills questionnaire in the series. The user must therefore read these terms before taking part. A user who does not agree with them must not use the software of ARISTON Psychometrics ("the company") and, of course, must not provide any personal details.

All content of the software, including its graphics, images, photographs, designs, texts, reports, the services it provides and its files, is the intellectual property of ARISTON Psychometrics and as such is protected by the applicable law (Greek law, European Union law and international conventions). The intellectual property rights of third parties, as and where these are expressly stated, are excepted. Any copying, modification, reproduction, sale, republication, transmission, distribution, downloading or exploitation of this content, in whole or in part and by any means, is expressly prohibited.

The creators of the software are not liable in any circumstances for any material, mental, non-material or other harm the user may suffer from taking part, since the software is a purely advisory tool. In no circumstances, including in the case of negligence, is the company liable for damage of any kind suffered by a user of the software's pages, services, options and content, which they use on their own initiative and with knowledge of these terms. The questionnaire results produced by the software are never binding on the user. The user is free to decide whether to make use of them; any use they make of them is on their own initiative and responsibility, after they have first acquainted themselves fully with these terms. The creators of the software give no guarantee whatsoever that its options and results are correct or complete overall, and accordingly accept no liability of any kind for any future choice or development of the user based on the software.

It is expressly provided that all processing of personal data complies with and is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and by Greek Law 4624/2019. In particular, any personal information relating to a specific individual is collected fairly, processed lawfully by automated means and recorded for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes, and never in a way incompatible with those purposes. All such personal information requested from the user is adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is recorded. More specifically, it is expressly provided that the user's answers are not disclosed to anyone in the form in which they were given, and no one, not even the user, is given access to detailed data beyond summary information, in accordance with the GDPR.

It is expressly provided that processing personal information to achieve the company's purposes, as these follow both from its articles of association and from the nature of the questionnaires it administers, is permitted because the user's participation in the questionnaires amounts to explicit acceptance of, and consent to, such processing. It is further expressly provided that the user consents to statistical data (but not personal details) being used in any future academic or research work to advance research and development.

The processing of the data referred to above is confidential and is carried out only by people with the relevant technical knowledge, always under the control of the company's data controller. The controller takes every necessary measure to keep the data secure and to prevent any possible loss, destruction, alteration or unauthorised disclosure of it.

Personal data is stored on secure cloud servers (Microsoft Azure) in the European Union. Microsoft acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement that complies with the GDPR. All data is processed and stored within the European Economic Area (EEA) and does not leave the EU. Personal data is kept in the cloud for a period that the organisation sets on the basis of the applicable storage limits. When the retention period ends, or on request, the data is permanently deleted.

Personal data is kept for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in these terms, unless a specific retention period is set by legal obligations, contractual commitments or legitimate operational needs.

The questionnaires may be administered through authorised representatives, including advisers, organisations and educational institutions. These representatives have access to the user's personal data and to the completion status of the questionnaires, but they do NOT have access to the user's individual answers.

The platform keeps activity logs for security, audit and service quality purposes. The events logged include account creation, the date and time each questionnaire is completed, and report generation.

Declaration of participation and acceptance of the assessment terms

I declare that I have been fully informed that the assessment follows a standardised, scientifically grounded and predetermined protocol, with objective and uniform criteria applied in the same way to all participants.

I acknowledge that the result is an independent scientific evaluative judgement, reached by a defined methodology. It is not an administrative act and does not in itself give rise to any rights against the assessor.

I understand that the assessment result is final as a scientific judgement and cannot be made the subject of an administrative objection, review or challenge at the unilateral request of the person assessed. This is without prejudice to the contractual rights of the body that commissioned the assessment and to the assessor's discretion under the contract.

I acknowledge that:

The questions, the structure of the tool, the assessment criteria, the norms, the cut-off scores, the weightings, the scoring algorithms and every other element of the methodology are intellectual property and confidential scientific material. They are not disclosed in any form, and I am not given access to them. Access is limited solely to my personal data and does not extend to technical, comparative or methodological elements of the assessment, in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Interpretive or comparative analysis is provided only where it is an expressly agreed part of the service.

By taking part, I accept the above terms without reservation.

The company reserves the right to revise these terms of use at any time.

Continued use of the platform means acceptance of the terms in force at the time of use.
